Kristi M. Holzimmer, Chief Manager
Kristi Holzimmer started her career in the mortgage and banking industry over 25 years ago. Throughout her career, she has worked in various functions in the mortgage and banking industry including processing, closing, originations, title insurance, bundled services (appraisals, flood determinations, credit reports, centralized closing services and tax services) and private mortgage insurance. In addition to these fields of interest, she has also worked on both the operational and sales sides of the business. All of these various positions have enhanced Kristi’s experience and have contributed to her success in her current position as Chief Manager with the Central Alabama Title Center.
She has also held several community leadership positions such as Financial Education Chairperson with the former Alabama Leadership Bankers, and she is currently an advisor on the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce Small Business Advisory Council. She devotes a significant amount of her time to her role and duties as a founding member of Lunches for Learning Inc., a charitable organization that seeks to break the cycle of poverty in rural Honduras by providing a nutritious school lunch program in over 23 very rural, very poor schools. She also serves as Chair of the Communications Committee for Lunches for Learning. Kristi is married to Dr. Kevin C. Holzimmer, a Professor of Military History, currently working in the Maxwell Air Force Base Air University system. They have two children, Henry, age 11 and Aalina, age 5.
Kathy W. Shirah, Office Manager & Senior Underwriter
Kathy Shirah started her career in mortgage banking in 1990 with Regions Mortgage, Incorporated. She has worked in various functions of the mortgage banking industry throughout her career, which includes loan processing, underwriting, closing, appraisal review, shipping, title insurance review, accounting, and marketing departments. During her career at Regions Mortgage, Inc. she received two Certificates of Accreditation from Mortgage Bankers of America as an Accredited Mortgage Banker. Kathy joined Central Alabama Title Center in May of 2003 as an underwriter. She is licensed to write Title Insurance in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. For the past 8 years, she has served as an instructor at the Alabama Banking School which is held in July at The University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL.
She is the founder of Living Money $mart which is an all-volunteer financial education program taught to junior high and high school students throughout the state. In her spare time she volunteers for an organization called Lunches for Learning, Inc. which provides school lunches to children in rural Honduras, along with co-teaching an adult bible study on Wednesday nights with her husband, Danny. She has two sons, Hunter and Tyler.
Kristin King, Title Processor
Kristin joined the Central Alabama Title Center in August of 2016 as Title Processor. Her previous experience in the banking industry prepared her well for this challenging role that involves a wide variety of skills and tasks. She is the primary point of contact for all of CATC’s customers and she is responsible for processing all of our products and services. Kristin is currently preparing for her state title insurance licensing exam later this summer. She is married to her husband, Daniel, and has a son named Grayson.
